County Football Finals

It was a tough competition and the A Team work hard to come 4th.

Well done to the Y6 boys of the GHF A Team who fought hard as a team at the County Football Finals at Sleaford on Saturday 16th January. It was a cold and frosty morning when most children might have still been in bed, but Liam, Sam, Jake, Noah, Josh, Charlie, Louie, Brandon and Nathan came out on good form and full of enthusiasm. It was a tough event – the competition was fierce and the boys had to play 5 matches. They worked hard in the rounds, only letting one goal in, and got to the semi-final where they only just lost 2-1 in a very close match.

Overall, they came 4th in the county which is absolutely brilliant. Once again they showed great sportsmanship and stuck together as a team; they did us all proud. Well done, boys!

Thanks you to Mr Allsebrook and Mr Buckeridge for supporting on this event too.
