St Seb's Easter Experience

KS2 learn all about the Easter Story at St Seb's.

On Tuesday 27th of March, Key Stage 2 visited St. Sebastian’s Church to take part in an Easter trail.  We visited the church one class at a time and completed a walk-through experience of the Easter story. In groups, we started by seeing Jesus and his disciples having their last supper. Then we travelled through Jerusalem to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed the night before his crucifixion and met a Roman guard. After this, we saw the cross that Jesus was crucified on and the tomb where his body was kept. At the end of the Easter trail, we saw that Jesus had resurrected for 40 days and 40 nights. We also completed some Easter themed colouring and word searches.

We all had a great experience at the church and enjoyed seeing all of the parts of the Easter story, especially the Roman guard!

Thank you to Rev Hopkins and his friends for providing the children with a super way to really imagine the Easter Story.
