Class 3W
Welcome from Mrs Wright and the children of Class 3 W.
We will be using this page to show you some of the great things we do in class. You can see what we have planned for the term ahead in the Years 3 and 4 Curriclum Newsletter.
Our Indian Class Assembly
3W presented their Indian Class Assembly to the rest of the school and their families. They all did really well at drumming, showing their artwork, dancing and singing an Indian song
Science Week
We have been very busy with science week, everyone has been taking part in a range of science activities. The children have been trying to lift ice cubes, investigating absorbency, learning about plants as well as finding out about friction and pressure. We really enjoyed our parents afternoon as well. Well done 3W for a super week!
Action Aid
On Friday 9th March, Penny Forsythe from action aid came to visit all of the year 3 and 4 children. She gave a fascinating assembly about India and Chembakolli (a small village in India which we are currently studying). It was really interesting to hear about what it is like there from someone who has visited it. She showed us lots of pictures and objects from her time there. The children really enjoyed the talk and trying out all the items she brought with her. Thank you Penny!
Sunita Patel - India Day
On Monday 6th February Sunita Patel came into tell us all about Indian culture, Indian dancing and Indian clothes.
Sunita Patel is a Hindu. We learnt how to put Indian clothes on, like saris and scarves. We all got to dress up. The boys wore waist coats, head scarves and bangles. The girls wore skirts, tops and beautiful jewellery. We learnt some Bollywood and Bhangra moves as well as doing some traditional Indian dancing. We had a lovely time!
