Down on the Farm

We had a wonderful day at White Post Farm. We saw lots of animals. We were able to feed the ducks and geese with the special bird food. We also fed the goats and sheep with the animal food. We were lucky enough to see some baby animals including, kids, a joey and lambs and we even got to hold baby mice and chicks. We would like to thank our guides who showed us around the farm. They told us how the animals are looked after and lots of other information about them. We would also like to thank all of the adults who came with us, but most of all the children who were fantastic role models for our school. Well done children it was a fabulous, sunny day.

We even met Pepper Pig!

In the Jungle

We have been having loads of fun learning about the jungle in the Foundation Stage classes. We are lucky enough to have our very own jungle animal, Bob the beet baby, who has lots of friends.

On Friday the 10th of February we celebrated Bob’s birthday and had a big jungle party. This took a lot of preparation. We had to invite all of Bob’s friends, make him a birthday card, write lists of party food (jungle fruit is Bob’s favourite), make birthday cakes, count the candles and make party bags. We had to watch out for Sid the cheeky snake, he kept pinching all of the sweets out of the party bags!

On the day of the party we had a great time. We all dressed up as one of Bob’s friends. There were all sorts of animals including lions, elephants, zebras and even a panda.

We tasted some of the jungle fruits and got to eat the birthday cakes. We even performed a jungle dance that we had been practicing especially for Bob. It was a wonderful day and we have taken lots of pictures for you to look at so you can see us getting ready for the part and celebrating the big day.

Thank you for all of the effort that went into the wonderful costumes they were fantastic.
