Anti-bullying Week 2018

This year we have been learning to 'Choose Respect'!

From Monday 12th to Friday 16th November, the whole school took part in and supported Anti-bullying week. The theme was 'Choose Respect'.

On Monday, children and adults wore odd socks to school and Jennie Fytche (the schools' worker from Grantham Christian Ministries) led an assembly about celebrating how different and special. Later in the week, Mrs Stylianides also led an assembly.  She shared stories about bullying, asked us questions and told us the effects that bullying can have on people. We were also shown a song called ‘Choose Respect’ by Andy and the Odd Socks which we listened to and learnt throughout the week. On Thursday, Ahlberg class led a brilliant assembly about this too. They showed everyone what respect means and how to show it. We loved joining in with the Choose Respect song with them and their dance actions were excellent.

It was great to see so many children wearing odd socks and thinking really carefully in Anti-Bullying week.
