NSPCC Online Safety
NSPCC seminar for parents
On the 26th September, Sara Parker from the NSPCC came in to provide an e-safety workshop/seminar for parents. Sara provided some helpful tips about how to support your child to be safe online and signposted some really useful resources, such as ‘Share Aware’ which explains more about the apps children use. The key message is that technology and the internet is a normal part of our children’s life but we can help them manage it and stay safe. We need to encourage our children to talk to us about their online life and what they can or should do if they come across something worrying. Sara also explained how O2 help parents manage their internet or app settings - for free! There is loads more information on our website.
