Grantham Foodbank

On the 5th of February, the School Council met and decided that they would like to serve a local community project. It was agreed that we would support our local foodbank, so we organised a visit to find out more about it.

When we arrived, we watched a presentation all about the food bank and what they do to support vulnerable and disadvantaged people in our area. We then had the opportunity to look around and during this time, we got to read about peoples’ stories, see all the food that they receive in the warehouse each year -which is a fantastic amount – and look at what a food parcel for a family would contain! After that we got to ask as many questions that we wanted, which proved to be very informative. Keep your eyes peeled next term for more information about how you can support this good cause.
