Awesome Ancient Egyptians

Y3/4 pupils enjoy a visit to the Leicester museum to find out more.

On Monday 4th of November, Year 3 and 4 travelled to Leicester to visit a museum as part of our topic about the Ancient Egyptians.

First, we sat down and had a look at some ancient Egyptian artefacts. Then we learnt how the Ancient Egyptians used to cook their food. They would squeeze all of the liquid out of their poo until it was dry and used it as coal!

After this we got to explore the museum. We saw real mummies and learnt lots of new facts. We also got to have a look around the art gallery, the dinosaurs, fossils and around all of the animals.

We really enjoyed our trip to the museum and loved learning new facts about the Ancient Egyptian’s and everything else!
