To celebrate World Book Day all the children immersed themselves in their favourite books. They had an opportunity to share these with their peers – talking about why they were their favourite and who their favourite characters were. The children took part in lessons which revolved around well-known authors and books; they took part in activities such as ‘Guess the Book’ from picture clues and unravelling anagrams of authors. During the week, lots of parents and grandparents kindly volunteered to read to or with the children. The children thoroughly enjoyed this, so thank you.

Also in support of Red Nose Day, the children dressed up as their favourite book characters – the turn-out was amazing with lots of Harry Potters and Where’s Wally. A huge thank you to parents for their support in preparing these wonderful costumes and helping us to raise £297 for Comic Relief.
