Oh we do like to be beside the seaside...

Y1/2 have a fantastic time at Mablethorpe beach and Seal Sanctuary.

Key stage 1 had a fantastic trip to Mablethorpe in June. We visited the Seal Sanctuary and saw many animals. We used our science knowledge to name the animals and the groups they belonged to and looked closely at the habitats they were living in. The children even remembered that the snakes had to be in warm tanks because they are reptiles and are cold blooded!

After a picnic lunch and an ice-cream (courtesy of the FSA), we went to the beach. The children loved exploring the beach habitat and looking for shells and evidence of life. Possibly more enjoyable was digging giant holes for the teachers to fall into!

A fantastic day was had by all and the weather was perfect. click here to see the full photo album.
