New Reception Pupils - Sept 2021

Welcome to Reception

We understand that you will have lots of questions and there is a lot of information to take in when your child first starts school.

Here at GHF we pride ourselves in the warm and friendly welcome we give to all of our families.  As this year, we cannot invite you in to have a look at our amazing provision, we have made a video of some of the highlights.  Please have a look at some of our pupils enjoying their school day as we offer a safe learning environment where everyone is supported to achieve their potential, where we offer a hot meal cooked on site and lots of opportunities to learn and play.  Along with our wrap around care facility from 7.30 am to 6.00pm each school day we feel we offer everything you child needs to grow and flourish.     We look forward to welcoming you into our school family.

MEETING FOR PARENTS

We have a briefing session for parents on Tuesday 29th June 2021 at 5:30pm and Thursday 1st July at 9:30am.  During the parent briefing, our teachers will explain how we all work together to help your child settle in quickly. We will talk to you about various things that you will need to know about starting school; for example, the date your child will be starting school, the routines, lunch arrangements, school uniform, assessments and what your child will be learning. We will also make some suggestions on how you can best prepare your child and there will be plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions too.   We ask that children do not attend this briefing. Please contact the school office on 01476 565800 to book your place.

The children  have the opportunity to spend part of the day with us on Monday 12th July.  Please let the school office know if you would prefer the morning (9:15 - 11:30am) or afternoon (12:45 - 3:00pm) session.
